For the last 7 years I have actively explored, performed and taught styles, music, and techniques of traditional singing from Kali, Croatia and the Balkans. Except from being surrounded by traditional  singing from Kali since childhood, I have additionally explored and sung traditional songs  with local singers, learning by live transmission - as we do in traditional music. That's my intention with you, learning by hearing, by active listening and repeating. No sheet music, no notes, no scales.

 

The video below is a project called "Melos tradicije" (The melody of tradition) that I started in 2018, and is still ongoing. In this project, old singers and young singers sing together, learning from each other - by doing. In my workshop, I will try to do the same thing. Create circles, and simply sing.
